CarBook is a vehicle-record application for Android. This policy explains what information CarBook processes, why it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
Summary
- CarBook does not require a CarBook account.
- CarBook does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or analytics SDKs.
- Your garage data is stored primarily on your Android device.
- CarBook does not operate its own server for your garage data.
- Android or Google backup and device-transfer services may back up or restore app data when those services are enabled on your device.
- CarBook uses the camera, photo picker, and file picker only when you choose to add an attachment.
- CarBook connects to Google Play for optional subscriptions and purchase-status verification.
- Ownership transfer creates a separate data copy for the recipient. A copy already shared outside CarBook cannot be remotely revoked or deleted by CarBook.
Information You Add
CarBook processes information you choose to enter, including:
- Vehicle details such as display name, brand, model, trim, production year, color, vehicle type, powertrain, odometer, and an optional registration or plate number.
- Service, repair, inspection, accident, modification, insurance, and other vehicle records.
- Dates, costs, currency, notes, vehicle systems, and actions associated with records.
- Reminders and odometer updates.
- Attachments such as camera photos, selected photos, and PDF documents.
- App preferences such as distance unit, currency, calendar, appearance, and notification settings.
